Care Groups at Tri-City Baptist

Care groups assimilate newcomers into the church community, provide accountability, encourage personal growth through application of the Sunday morning message, and develop future church leaders. Joining a Care and Share group is a great way to get to know other people at Tri-City and let God challenge you to change! While each Care group is unique, meetings generally include fellowship, worship, discussion, and prayer.

Most groups meet at Tri-City on Wednesdays from 6:15-7:30 p.m. during Youth Group (A-287) and the Joyful Noise! Children’s Music Program (A-256). The nursery is available for babies to 3-year-olds in A-169 at this time.

Here is what you can expect from a Care Group:

  • UNITY – Foundations of the Faith – We as a church must be unified on Biblically-based core doctrines. Each week Care Groups have a series of doctrinal questions that are designed to help strengthen each other in truths about who God is and how He is defined in His Word. These questions initiate short discussions with your group and drive the overall unity of both your group and our church.
  • OpportUNITY – Prayer – Every month Pastor Ken reminds us to be praying “Lord, lead us to the unsaved and the unsaved to us.” A discipleship culture will only be as effective as the time of prayer put into it. We encourage our Care Groups to testify of the gospel opportunities that are in their life. Hearing these testimonies brings excitement to what God is doing in the hearts and homes of the individuals in the group. This also brings a greater burden to pray with individuals concerning gospel opportunities.
  • CommUNITY – Discipleship resources (Foundations, Essential Virtues, Trusting God, Knowing God, Changed into His Image, etc) – It is important to be doing discipleship throughout our life. All of us need to be strengthened in our walk with Christ. It is also important that we are helping others be strengthened in their walk with Christ. Each Care Group works through various discipleship resources to relate to the group needs.
